WHY DO SOME WALK OUT ON THEIR KIDS?

01.30.21
By Pastor David Vivas, Jr.
World Harvest Int'l Church of Delano, CA

I’ve addressed this problem before and it’s not right for a man or woman to walk out on their kids in order to pursue another relationship. Children at a very young age are impressionable and need their mom and dad as a very necessity of life. Small children don’t deserve to be neglected by their parents. When an individual becomes a mom or dad, at that point, they need to devote themselves to the raising and training of their child until they are 18. Parents in some cases lose interest in each other. But a parent should never lose interest in their child. I never can understand a man walking out of his child’s life to chase after another woman. Why take it out on your child? A child doesn’t deserve abandonment. I cannot stress this enough. Humans can be selfish and self-centered. When you bring a child into this world, you have to put on hold your own personal desires in pursuing another partner and focus your attention on loving and teaching your children by your example. Your child doesn’t deserve to be put on hold or thrown in the back of the line. A parent who abandons their child contributes to negative psychological effects on their children. To the man or woman who walks out of your responsibilities, I hope you own up to your responsibilities and be the mom or dad your child deserves to have. They don’t deserve to be ignored just because you couldn’t work things out with their mom/dad. Most of all teach your children about God’s love and show them what it means to love God. To those men or women who have gone AWOL in your child’s life, I want you to hear this message loud and clear. It’s the truth and I hope your family or friends share this article with you. No need to make any excuses. Step up to your duty and role as a loving mom or dad.

LOCKDOWN WITH FINES

01.20.21

So, the lockdowns include city fines. You can now officially snitch at your local businesses, neighbors, or anyone breaking these rules. Yes, folks! Si Se Puede! You can call your local CEO to hand out that fine. Call your local code enforcements at: Code Enforcement Officer 2330 High Street Delano, CA 93215 Phone: (661) 721-3389 Fax: (661) 721-3388 The council voted 4-1 in favor of issuing fines to prohibit gatherings with non-household members and non-critical gatherings in the city council meeting last night. The fines range from $100-1st Offense, $200-2nd, and a whopping $500-3rd for violations daily. This urgency ordinance will last up to 28 days or if the state lockdown moves Kern back to the purple tier and may continue after if needed under Council's review. So what are the rules? Here are a few and it basically aligns with the state lockdown with minor changes. Indoor and outdoor dining is a no, no. Only delivery and takeout are permitted. Restaurant owners who operate against codes and customers who dine in will be cited. Outdoor activities are limited to 10 people from different households. No more, and people will be cited. An amendment of the ordinance passed states that big businesses must be limited at 20% to 35% capacity, based on their size. Well, you all have a wonderful day. Thanks for following DL! 🍇#DelanoLIFE LIFE is good

Vehicle collision might cause the power outage in the Marketplace area with hundreds of homes left in the dark at around 7 pm last night. Ramon sent a message of the attached photo with a video of the small white SUV accident in Ellington near the casino. The power outage lasted nearly an hour while emergency personnel was on the scene attending to the accident.
